Holiday Fun

I am finally getting around to blogging again. It has been awhile I know.

We had a great holiday season. We took the kids to ride the Polar Express in Durango, CO. We had a great time despite the fact that it was pouring rain. Anika was concerned that it was going to take all night to get to the North Pole. She was relieved when it only took 30 minutes. She said, “It really is a magic train!” Aiden was thrilled to just be on a train and was really excited to get a bell from Santa. Zander just sat in amazement the whole time.

This train was very cool. It was an actual coal train and had vintage narrow gage cars.

We spent Christmas with Josh’s family in Spanish Fork. We had a great time. I was a little stressed out since I ended up doing most of my Christmas shopping the Saturday before Christmas, since we live in the middle of nowhere. This is not something that I recommend and I think next year I will just pay the shipping and do it all online. It was hectic to say the least.
I always hated when my parents would make me wait to open my presents. So here I am doing it to my poor children. I just needed a picture. They look thrilled.

Anika and her pink Ipod. She is so spoiled.
Aiden and his polar express train set.

Zander and his Little People parking garage.

I put Aiden to bed in his own room and Anika was sleeping on the couch. When I came down to go to bed, there he was sound a sleep next to her on the couch. I was so cute. I just had to take a picture.
Christmas morning was very chaotic since his whole family was home. There were 7 little kids clamoring to get to their presents. And by the time they were done, the room was littered with paper. But over all it was a good time. Josh had to be to work the next day, so he went to bed pretty early to get up to make the four hour trek back to our house. The kids and I stayed for another day and then we made the trek to Montana to spend time with my parents.

Oh and one more thing. While we were in Montana, my sister was talking about how she had donated her hair to Locks of Love. Well, Anika decided she wanted to do it too. After some time convincing Josh, he gave her permission. She looks adorable with her new haircut.

I have been waiting for you to post again and I'm so glad you finally did. Cute new blog by the way. So Anica looks soooo cute with her new haircut and I'm sure it is going to make your life a little easier as well. The kids all look like they had a great Christmas and I'm sure you will agree with me that it is nice to put it all behind us. It's nice to see what's going on with your family and I will expect many more blogs from you in the near future.
